Our Legacy & Purpose

The Green Mountain Civil War Roundtable was established to foster a deep understanding of the American Civil War through scholarly research and community engagement. We meet monthly at the Bugbee Senior Center in White River Jct, Vt., and draw inspiration from the brave soldiers who served and the enduring impact of the conflict on our nation’s identity.

We host monthly presentations by renowned historians, organize field trips to hallowed battlefields, and maintain an extensive archive of primary sources. Our roundtable is a place where history enthusiasts, educators, and students come together to ensure that the lessons of the past are never forgotten.
